Discover September's Wines of the Month at Dubai Duty Free

By September, 02 2024

This September, Dubai Duty Free is spotlighting three fantastic wines. Whether you’re a fan of whites, rosés, or reds, this curated selection has something for everyone.

Dominique Portet Fontaine Rosé – 70 AED

Rosé may be the official wine of summer, but in Dubai, it’s the unofficial wine all year round. This September, Dubai Duty Free features the Dominique Portet Fontaine Rosé from Australia’s Yarra Valley, the country’s oldest wine region known for its crisp yet complex wines. This is not the most typical rosé grape blend, featuring Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, giving it a more intense flavour than the classic dry French style.

With refreshing notes of wild strawberry, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, and blossom, this rosé is perfect for poolside sipping or pairing with light cuisine like seafood, salad, sushi or fresh fruit.

Albert Bichot Origins Chardonnay – 110 AED
Hailing from Burgundy, the birthplace of Chardonnay, the Albert Bichot Origins Chardonnay is a white wine that perfectly balances tradition and modern winemaking techniques. The Bichot family, with a winemaking history dating back to 1350, has crafted this Chardonnay with care, allowing for extended ageing on yeast and 20% maturation in oak barrels. This process adds complexity to the wine, enhancing its citrus, pear, floral, and honey notes with some buttery toast and sweet spice aromas.

Albert Bichot Origin Pinot Noir – 115 AED

For those seeking a red wine that suits the warm weather, look no further than the Albert Bichot Origins Pinot Noir, Dubai Duty Free’s Red Wine of the Month for September. This Pinot Noir is lighter and less drying on the palate compared to most other red wines, with a fruit-driven profile highlighted by a red berry tang.

This wine is versatile when it comes to food pairings. It effortlessly complements dishes typically associated with white wines, like chicken or fuller-flavour fish dishes like salmon or tomato fish bakes, while also having enough body to pair with red meats. It’s particularly well-suited to a grazing board of cheese and charcuterie.

Take advantage of these limited-time features as you pass through Dubai airport this September, or have your wines ready and waiting for you by pre-ordering them at the Dubai Duty Free click and collect counter.
