Dubai Spirits training level 2 WSET

This course is given over 3 day course:

  • Day 1: 3 July 2021 from 10am – 6pm
  • Day 2: 10 July 2021 from 10am – 6pm
  • Day 3: 17 July 2021 from 10am – 6pm (including exam)

Be advised, this qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours of study time, including 16 hours of classroom with a WSET course provider. It is therefore imperative that registration has to be complete at least 2 weeks before course start date. These two weeks should be used by the students to prepare for the course and study for the exam.

WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits

A beginner to intermediate level qualification exploring spirits and liqueurs for those working in the industry or spirits enthusiasts.

For individuals wishing to develop their expertise in spirits and liqueurs, you’ll learn about the fundamental production methods and principal raw materials discovering how they are used to make the key spirit styles. You’ll also explore the key practices and principles of serving spirits and the use of spirits in cocktails. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.

What you’ll learn

  • How production methods affect the characteristics of spirits and liqueurs
  • The characteristics of the principal international spirits and liqueurs
  • How to describe spirits using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Spirits® (SAT)

Course delivery:

This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours of study time, including 16 hours of classroom with a WSET course provider. This classroom portion of this course takes place over three consecutive Saturdays with your exam at the end of the last day.

Assessment:

Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions. This qualification is regulated by Ofqual.

 Make note that there is a limited amount of seven registered candidates per class. The Tasting Class will offer a refund or reschedule the course in case of cancellation.
