Wine Tasting Challenge - Old vs. New World

Blind Wine Tasting of  Old World (European) versus a New World wines! Join us for a wine tasting of three sets of wines – one from the Old World and one from the New. The grape will be the same but their origins will be from different continents. Challenge yourself and see how loyal to your favorite wine nation you really are. We’ll be sitting rooftop again too. This time we’ll be at the Warwick Hotel DIFC, so get ready to enjoy some pretty views of the Dubai.

About The Monthly Wine Tasting Challenge:

Blind tasting wines is when you don’t know what you’re drinking so you can really ‘taste’ free from bias. It makes for fun conversation with your new friends, plus interactive lesson is provided by The Tasting Class.

How Blind Wine Tasting Works: 

We sit at social tables of 10. Six different covered mystery bottles of wine are shared by everyone at the table. We’ll teach some tips on tasting like a pro, and give some insight into the evening’s theme. Everyone will then have some time to blind taste the wines and try to guess what they are using the clues provided and their own sense of smell and taste. After everyone tastes all the wines we will vote for our favorite, then reveal the wines one by one, getting a lesson on each wine as we feel off their covers. Taste and discuss with everyone at the table, learn about wine, vote and enjoy some snacks and socializing.
